Since we only buy renewable energy from New England wind turbines, solar panels, cow power, and hydro power, we are able to bring our members right to the source of their electricity. Join us at our next tour to hear the project's story, get up close to the technology, and meet other renewable energy supporters.

North Providence Solar Tour
Join a special tour of this solar project built on an old landfill that supplies power for our Green Powered/GreenUp members and Green Municipal Aggregation programs in Barrington, Central Falls, Narragansett, Newport, Portsmouth, Providence, and South Kingstown RI. The tour will be held entirely outdoors and will require walking on uneven terrain.

Providence Wind Turbine Tour
Green Energy Consumers Alliance and John Motta, part of the engineering team at the Narragansett Bay Commission, will conduct a tour of a wind turbine that supplies power to Rhode Island's Community Choice Electricity program in Barrington, Central Falls, Narragansett, Newport, Providence, Portsmouth, and South Kingstown.
9:45am - Arrival at the Wastewater Treatment Facility, coffee, and pastries
10:10am - Walk to the turbine
10:15am - Talk & presentation at the turbine by Green Energy Consumers and Narragansett Bay Commission Engineers, including Q&A. Hard hats are required for the tour & will be provided, or you can bring your own.
10:50am - Return to facility
11am - Tour ends
