Privacy Policy

Green Energy Consumers Alliance is dedicated to keeping your information private and secure. The following statement outlines our policies regarding how your information is collected and used.

Personal Information:
Green Energy Consumers will not share or sell personally identifiable information with other organizations or companies.

Green Energy Consumers does not collect sensitive data such as social security numbers.

We will collect credit card information for dues or donations. Credit card information is immediately processed by a secure, PCI compliant third-party, and our staff does not have access to full credit card information after it has been processed. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure all personal information we collect.

Green Energy Consumers may collect personal contact information and ask questions related to the programs you are signing up or renewing for. We use the information you provide about yourself to connect you with the partnering vendors, provide appropriate communications about the program, or complete the services you have signed up for.  We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to facilitate your enrollment and participation in the program.

Programs we are currently associated with that include sharing contact information with vendors or partners include the Heating Oil Service, Green Powered, Green Municipal Aggregation with one of our affiliated communities, EquiSol, Drive Green, Solar with EnergySage, and the Heat Pump Program.

At times, Green Energy Consumers will use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and programs, and to share with service suppliers and partners. For example, we may tell a partner that 500 people filled out a registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

Communications
If you donate, join online, subscribe to one of our programs, or request program information, you will receive email and mail communications about the program you’ve signed up for, and also for related programs, organizational news, and climate policy. You can, at any time, ask to no longer receive some or all types of these communications by contacting us by mail, phone, or email, or by unsubscribing at the bottom of our marketing email communications.

If you initiate texting, message and data rates may apply and you can text STOP anytime to opt out, or be opted out of texting by requesting to be opted out by phone or email.
